The Internet Is Demolishing the Latest Ridiculous Statement from a Trump Supporter

#TacoTrucksOnEveryCorner is the perfect way to start your Labor Day weekend.

It’s been a crazy day for tacos after Latinos for Trump founder Marco Gutierrez went on MSNBC’s “All in With Chris Hayes” Thursday to say that a White House without Donald Trump would mean, of all things, more taco trucks.

The discussion came a day after Trump’s meeting with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and a much-awaited speech on immigration. During his speech in Arizona, he had strong words for undocumented immigrants, specifically those he described as criminals. “Their days have run out in this country. The crime will stop. They’re going to be gone. It will be over. They’re going out. They’re going out fast,” he said.

Gutierrez, who is a Mexican immigrant, defended Trump’s stance on immigration, and said restrictions need to be tighter because Mexican culture is causing problems.

“My culture is a very dominant culture and it’s imposing and it’s causing problems,” he said. “If you don’t do something about it, you’re gonna have taco trucks every corner.”

What did social media have to say about a future with tacos ruling? The comments brought out some hilarious responses:

DONALD TRUMP & DEMOCRACY

Mother Jones was founded to do things differently in the aftermath of a political crisis: Watergate. We stand for justice and democracy. We reject false equivalence. We go after, and go deep on, stories others don’t. And we’re a nonprofit newsroom because we knew corporations and billionaires would never fund the journalism we do. Our reporting makes a difference in policies and people’s lives changed.

And we need your support like never before to vigorously fight back against the existential threats American democracy and journalism face. We’re running behind our online fundraising targets and urgently need all hands on deck right now. We can’t afford to come up short—we have no cushion; we leave it all on the field.
