Lois Parshley is a freelance journalist and photographer currently based in Alaska as the 2019-2020 Snedden Chair of Journalism at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her reporting has been published in The New Yorker, Harper's, The Atlantic, Wired, and The Washington Post, among other outlets. She is a former Knight-Wallace Fellow and National Geographic Young Explorer.
